Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
Indian Secular Front (ISF) MLA Nawsad Siddiqui has accused the district administration of obstructing the utilization of his MLA fund for the past two and a half years, alleging deliberate delays despite multiple attempts to get approvals. Raising the issue in the Assembly, he stated, "The people of Bhangar elected me to serve them. How do I justify this inaction to them?" He claimed that officials have been making him go through excessive paperwork without progress. Announcing his next step, he said he would go to Nabanna to meet Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and, if denied a meeting, would stage a protest outside the state secretariat.
